I agree web-loafer. That battle is about done. I'm concerned about where the war will take us next.

There are some serious issues at home that need tending too as well.

Beth, Great article. America sure has some wonderful young people. Sure it is easier to find stories of kids gone bad, but I love to read about the good kids.
And for our young warriors to stay focused on victory in and for Iraq when the nations media is undermining their effort and purpose, while at the same time, under reporting the success they have had. is nothing short of a miracle, Against all odds. They stayed focused and have done what some said would never happen.

One thing I am sure of, the battle for Iraq is almost over, WE HAVE WON & IRAQ IS WINING.

Yes, there will be many new friends of America in the future, because of their sacrifice.

Now is time for some of the older kids to clean up some of the fiscal and social mess we left our country in.

That is interesting, I may not support the war but I would never use the dead soldiers to further my agenda.

As for the young man who traveled to Iraq, I was curious to know what he wrote.

Beth,

What a great post! It makes me feel so good that a 17 year old girl understands so much, and I enjoyed reading Hassan's essay. I'm going to send your blog address to my friends via e-mail so they can read this great post.

Happy New Year!!!

Sam

Beth, thanks for finding that information. I have heard about the boy going to Iraq, but I hadn't heard what he wrote about it. And I hadn't heard about the girl at all.
