The U.S. squared off against Russia at the World Junior Hockey Championship in Vancouver, Canada on Thursday (January 5th, 2006).
Our Canadian neighbors did not cheer either team. Instead, they booed the U.S. team throughout the game.
They chanted, ‘U.S. Sucks. U.S. Sucks. U.S. Sucks.’ (etc.)
Brilliant.
Not very neighborly.

Canada sucks! Canada sucks! Oh no, I take that back. That would be stooping to their level.

Maybe we could build a fence on the northern border and stop all trade with them. Then they could really have something to shout about. -:-)

David - I was thinking of fanatics who are well-meaning but misguided.
Norma - I got this from someone else and didn’t get it from a primary source - I thought that was the year he was born!
So - maybe I should do my research better! lol
