Sanity – I’m glad you pointed me to your post – it’s excellent and I enjoyed the comments.

I had not heard of this group until I happened to read it on someone else’s blog.

Kansas isn’t to blame for these people! We know good people come out of Kansas.

I know how you feel though, it’s like when I see some ignorant person speaking on behalf of the South – the press loves to take that and run with it! The sterotype.

Beth, as a Kansan, I have apoligized over and over again to the world for the Phelps family. I have seen them on the streets of many cities….spewing forth hate….it is sickening.
Please don’t think badly of Kansas for these bigots…..
Kansas is a good place, but would be even better if the Phelps Family would move.
But then somewhere else would have to endure them.
I wrote a blog article about this hateful family many months ago.

Jane, I had actually never heard of them till I happened to click on Jessica’s Blog from Blog Explosion. She had a post about it – and I went from there.

I agree – the media coverage is probably what keeps them going to these pickets.

I read some of the Bible verses they quoted on their web sites and their quotes didn’t quite match up with what I have read.

It’s nothing but an insane cult.

These people make me sick. It angers me when a group takes Scripture and twists it to justify their actions.
I think the media should ignore them. If they did not get the media coverage, they probably would not show up as often.
