I just received news that a close friend of mine’s husband has been killed by a road side bomb in Iraq.

I have a hard time understanding how people don’t understand we are at war.

My friend’s sons are also Marines.

Beth, News like this just breaks my heart. Times like this it is hard to know what to say except please let your friend know that prayers are being said for her and her family. May The Comforter fill her heart with peace that is beyond understanding.

Let her know too that despite the naysayers we are winning against these animals. Her husband did not die in vain. A whole new nation has been born as a result of his and her sacrifice.
