I just opened my mail and was a little bit surprised to see a survey from the Democratic National Committee.
I don’t ever get surveyed. I don’t think I meet the demographic criteria that is sought after for polls. Certainly not from the Democratic National Committee.
But this one says my opinion is very important to them!!!!!
Most of the questions in the survey have to do with social services. The choices are not whether or not something is needed, but more like whether we need a little more of this, a lot more of that, or a whole lot more of the other.
There are 3 questions in the entire questionaire that have to do with the War on Terrorism. They are buried toward the end of the survey – but not completely at the end. They are in the part where you are tired of reading and if you skip over some to get to the end they are the likly ones you’d skip over. And get aload of how these three questions are worded….
One quesion: Do you support increased defense spending to fight the war against terrorism? yes or no.
Now please note, in all the questions in the questionaire about abortion rights (in this questionaire worded ‘women’s rights’) and environmental action, Social Security, socialized health care (whoops, they don’t call it that. They say ‘guaranteed health care coverage’), etc. they never once ask if you support increased spending in support of any of those social issues. But the question on the war on terrorism asks if you support increased spending.Next question: Do you support the immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq? yes or no
Last question: If you don’t support the immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, what do you believe the time frame should be? This one is multiple choice!
The multiple choices are all dates within the next year and a half. If you don’t pick one of the dates you can say, UHHH, I don’t know.
I didn’t see a choice for WHEN WE BEAT THE SLOP OUT OF THEM.
Sorry – that was my Southern coming out.
I think, if I have to explain it they wouldn’t understand.

Gee, all the Democratic party ever sends me are letters asking for money. Shows you how in touch they are! I never get surveys…I feel so left out. (insert loud guffaw here)

If it makes you feel any better. At the end of the survey they asked for money!
But at least they said they wanted my opinion because they ‘want to be in touch with what people in my community think’.
LOLOLOL
Nana nana boo-boo.

A year and half time window for withdrawal? Interesting, hmmmm.I’m sure that’ll come up in their talking points, if it hasn’t already.
I get surveys similar to that every major election year from Planned Parenthood. I’ve never been able to figure out how I got on their mailing list! Jeez, I wanted my kids!

Doggone it Beth! I hate it when you use technical language like “slop!”
As a Chicago boy who spent five years living in the South, every day was an adventure!
