Chirac is just like all other rulers of old France. Scared not to pacify rioters less = French Revolution II. Also, I lived in Brussels, Belgium for 7 years in the 90's and went to Paris often. There is a section outside of Paris infested with Muslim immigrants. It was like a gang-run city-within-a-city when I was there. Today, they have a "mayor", "police", and their own laws. The Paris cops do not even go there - It's called the no-go zone in Paris. I trust we will not let that happen here, but it seems that some would like to.
