While Cindy Shenanigan’s 15 minutes continue to tick by agonizingly slow, her personal bubble of protection and showcasing via the media and hollywood is in danger of being burst.

Her nemesis comes in the form of Laura Youngblood.

Mrs. Youngblood is determined to fulfill a request made by her husband in his last letter to her. He asked her to take care of his soldiers.

The 27-year-old widow and mother of two young children from South Hempstead, N.Y., flew to Waco on Wednesday to continue fulfilling what she sees as his last request to defend American soldiers against vocal critics of the Iraq war, including Cindy Sheehan, who launched her third peace protest in McLennan County this week.

Cindy Shenanigans has gained fame, fortune and support of the progressives by claiming to represent the families of our Soldiers. (She doesn’t represent me or my family, thank you very much)

They seem to like her because she’s willing to commit sedition and treason, suck up to socialist dictators who vow to destroy the United States, bad-mouth the President, and play 60’s-style peace protester. I guess they can relive their own war protesting glory days vicariously through her.

She seems to like them cause she’s popular for probably the first time in her life. She’s undoubtedly making more money than she’s ever made before. Not to mention, she sure seems to like all the attention.

She started her own life in the lime light by claiming our President refused to talk with her after the death of her son. (He did talk to her).

Ironically, she now refuses to talk with a war widow, Laura Youngblood.

Laura’s mad and say she’s decided she’s had enough.

It started last year on MSNBC when Cindy made several rather nasty statements to Laura, including that that her unborn baby would be ‘fatherless for a lie.’

Thursday, Youngblood repeated her response to Sheehan, clutching a photo of her husband.

“My children will never be fatherless,” she declared.

Youngblood said her husband fought because he believed war was inevitable after the 1991 Desert Storm conflict left Saddam in power, and he didn’t want his son to fight it again.

Hunter, 5, said his father “died for America.”

Laura Youngblood’s husband was Naval Petty Officer Travis Youngblood. He was hospital corpsman who died of injuries received during battle in Hit, Iraq.

He left his pregnant wife and 5 year old son. He also left a letter before he died asking his wife to take care of his Soldiers.

He left his wife and children a legacy of honor, courage, integrity and love for his country and the pride of knowing their father was a true American Hero.

Laura, in my opinion, is working to make sure her husband’s legacy is not deminished by the likes of Cindy Shenanigans and Code Pink. She is leaving a legacy of courage, honor, integrity and love for her country for her children as well.

Now Laura is going up against the formitable Cindy Sheehan and groups like Code Pink. They prefer Cindy as a spokesperson for military families.

They want nothing of someone like Laura Youngblood. She loves her country.

They have been angry, nasty, hateful and dismissive of her. A side of Cindy we don’t get treated to on television.

Check out this quote from Cindy (lifted from UrbanGrounds)

Sheehan: “I am starting to lose a little compassion for them. I know they have been as brainwashed as the rest of America, but they know the pain and heartache and they should not wish it on another. However, I still feel their pain so acutely and pray for these “continue the murder and mayhem” moms to see the light.”

That would make me a ‘murder and mayhem mom!

I have to agree with ChicagoRay who says it’s getting harder to make fun of Cindy - she’s getting more pathetic daily. Go to his website and view a photo of her carrying a cross for Easter. She needs serious professional help.

My prediction is that the media will continue to give Cindy her coverage and continue to ignor the many, many families and Soldiers who support our Soldiers and understand what we are fighting for.

Laura seems uncomfortable in the lime light, but determined to continue her mission. I hope she’s tough. She’s going to have to be. They’ll be vicious with her.

As for me. I’m routing for Laura Youngblood.
