Good! One of my frustrations with the Bush Administration is their lack of publicizing what they do.
It is my personal opinion that President Bush will go down in history as one of our greatest presidents. That is if the history books are written objectively.
President Bush gives some of the most inspiring speeches I’ve ever heard. Unfortunately, he is not a great speech giver so the message usually is lost in the focus on his inarticulate mannerisms.
He seems to focus on doing the ‘right’ thing rather than on polls and public opinion. That’s a good thing. His predecesor focused on polls and public opinion and little on substance. He got away with some of the most corrupt activities I’ve ever heard of in a president, because he used his charm and assistance from the press.
President Bush’s obscenely wealthy and powerful enemies utilize the more-than-willing- to-help press to put out half truths, old news, and sound bites that undermine not just Bush’s presidency, but the United States.
So, Tony Snow is the new White House Press Secretary. He comes out swinging with both fists this week.
I hope he is aggressive enough and succeeds in getting the RIGHT word out.
The information being passed around at lightening speed is completely out of control.
