Security camera videos of American Airline flight 77 hitting the Pentagon on September 11, 2001 have been released today.
Judicial Watch has pressed for the release of these tapes from the Justice Department.

The Justice Department will hand over tapes showing American Airlines Flight 77 striking the building outside Washington to Judicial Watch, a public interest group that requested the video, the group said.
At least two tapes are expected, from different security cameras. The two cameras, from the same Pentagon checkpoint, show the building from different angles.
Still photographs from those cameras showed the Pentagon on fire, but no images of the Boeing 757 striking the building have ever been made public.
The video to be released Tuesday was the source of those still photos, and shows the airplane more clearly.
“We fought hard to obtain this video because we felt that it was very important to complete the public record with respect to the terrorist attacks of September 11,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.
“Finally, we hope that this video will put to rest the conspiracy theories involving American Airlines Flight 77. As always, our prayers remain with all those who suffered as a result of those murderous attacks.”
So will the release of these videos end the conspiracy theories and prove a plane did actually hit the Pentagon?
We’ll see.

I doubt it. Unfortunately the video will not stop the conspiracy folks.

I’m really reassured knowing that with only four-and-a-half years of delay, the government would not have had time to secure video editing technology (like, for instance, that available free on most Macintosh computers) that would allow them to alter low-resolution surveillance video.

it is absolutly ridiculous to sat that this video will put the “conspiracy theorist†to rest. and anyone who says that is demostrating a shortcut to thinking. first of all, i know of at least 5 other videos that were seized on 9/11. gas station from across the street, the hotal roof cam from across the street, and 3 dept of transporation videos. look at this view http://www.pentagonresearch.com/117.html this video was seized as well. but they release this and say this will satisfy those conspiracy “nuts.†just the fact they have these video shows an obvious “cover-up.†the administration is keeping these videos secret for some reason. then they call me nuts and silly because i question this. the only thing this video release did was prove that the administration is withholding information from the american people. whether you beleive the official story, a cover-up or a conspiracy, one thing that cant be disputed is that they are withholdong information.
