I watched a little bit of Hannity & Colmes tonight. What I found interesting were the contradictory views expressed by the liberals on the show.
The liberals praised Congressman John Murtha for publicly criticizing Marines in combat. The fact the investigation into the incident Murtha referred to is not complete was irrelevant they said.
They explained what he really meant to say. They said he said what he said out of concern for the troops not to sabotage them or our war efforts. They parsed his words, rephrased and put the words in another context.
In the very next segment, the very same liberals were discussing another case. In that case they were decrying that allegations had been made public, people had been found guilty in the media and public opinion without facts being set forth. They said people deserve due process. No one should be subjected to that sort of scrutiny before an investigation is done. They said the allegations will interfere with investigators being able to get the facts.
They explained how unfair that is. They explained that people shouldn’t judge people before they have the facts. They were very loud and adamant about it.
It was interesting to me that they seemed completely oblivious to the fact that they had taken diametrically opposed positions on the two cases.
Reason and logic were not part of the equation. It seemed to have only to do with what fit their political agenda.
We have the most powerful military in the world. The American media needs to get out of their way and let the military handle the military.

One set of rules for one party, one for the other. I can’t stand to watch Hannity & Colmes because Alan makes my skin crawl. Thanks for pointing this out. Oh, and our top headers blank

Amen! I’ve had it with all those who use our military for furthering their agendas, be it political, economic, 15 minutes of fame or to sell a book. Absolutely shameful!

Me too. It’s all about his own political agenda. I seriously hope he is voted out. The woman challenging him won’t have nearly as much money as him to run. I hope she can beat him.
