There has been a spike in insurgency in Iraq and Afghanistan the last few days.
The seditionist news stations are trying to figure out why. They think we have to work harder to ‘win their hearts and minds’.
They blame the insurgents for killing and injuring reporters over the weekend. And in the next breath blame Marines for killing insurgents.
Apparently, they and we have learned nothing from previous wars, Vietnam in particular. You can’t have a ‘kinder, gentler’ war. You must go in and stop the resistance with force and fear.
Otherwise, THIS is what you get. Locals screaming at the cameras because of a truck accident and throwing rocks at our Soldiers. Locals AFRAID we will not be tough enough to support them if they take a stand against their previous torturers.
The locals will not turn in the insurgents because they are afraid our Soldiers will be pulled out by a weak country who gives in to the pressure of the press and leave them to the mercy of those who are still there.
This war can be won - but only if there is an ABSOLUTE resolve on the part of the American people to back up our Soldiers.
When the rest of the world thinks we might pull out at any given moment, the insurgency will be worse, the coorperation will be less and the war will be lost.
Murtha and others of his ilk need to SHUT UP and let the military do their jobs. He has been a saboteur for his own political agenda. He has shamed himself and his country.
President Bush needs to stand STRONG on this and not relinquish control of the military to the media. If he pulls out troops before the mid-term election in order to quiet the unrest of the pampered, elitist, VERY LOUD MINORITY, I will lose all respect for him and all that has been done so will have been for nothing.
If that happens and if Murtha continues his treasonous chatter, we are in for a VERY hard, bumpy ride.
I seriously, earnestly hope that we will not stand for it. WE, the American people are the only ones that can put a stop to this madness. We don’t talk about ‘exit strategies’. We exit when we win. We don’t talk about getting troops out, they leave when it’s over.
Don’t stand for sending our boys to war without the means and the will to WIN!
Congressmen who willfully take actions during wartime that damage morale and undermine the military are saboteurs and should be arrested, exiled, or hanged.
