I just watched one of the most hokey propaganda films I have ever seen. It featured the family that was bombed by Israel while they were picnicking on a beach in Gaza.

That’s what’s being reported as fact..

As I’m watching this ‘news story’ on ABC news, I start realizing that it’s awfully coincidental that the television cameras are on the beach right at the time of the bombing.

The ‘news story’ featured a little girl, about 12 years old, running from body to body, crying hysterically on cue. Each time she started wailing, she turned to face the camera.

This included artistic shots of her wailing toward the sky and asking, ‘Why, why?’. Somehow the television cameras were above her just as she did that.

The bodies are lying around, at convenient intervals as well. None of them were particularly torn up. They were somewhat covered, but certainly didn’t look like they had been blown up by a round of artillery.

Most of the shots were of the little girl running from body to body. There was a shot of her in a car being told to lie to her mother, who was in the hospital. She was being told to tell her mother her sisters and brothers were okay.

Then there was a shot of the little girl entering the hospital room of the mother who we are being told in the film, is close to death. The mother sits up, smiles and has no visible injuries. The little girl is standing at the door and when the camera pans towards her she starts running into the room to hug her mother.

The two embrace lovingly, both faces towards the camera with smiles and tears of joy. The mother asks about her father, brothers and sisters. The little girl dutifully tells her mother the ‘lie’ she’s been told to tell, while facing the camera.

The narrator repeats the lie and says how sad it is that this is what it has come to, they are having to tell little girls to lie.

I did a look-see at the stories about this incident around the internet. The stories are all about how bad Israel is for having bombed this family who were innocently minding their own business having a picnic on the beach in Gaza.

What they DON’T mention. What was only mentioned at the very end of the soap-opera style news segment, was that the autopsies of the ‘family’ that was killed on the beach revealed that the shrapnel removed from their bodies was not Israeli. It was Palestinian.

  • A group of people, perhaps a family, were killed on a Gaza beach a day after Hamas declared they would no longer honor a cease fire with Israel.
  • There is conveniently a television crew on the beach who is able to capture every agonizing moment of the one survivor as she runs from body to body sobbing and wailing in disbelief.
  • While she is running on the beach to each body, her mother has already been taken to the hospital and had surgery.
  • She is driven to the hospital to see her mother for the first time and again conveniently, there is a television crew available to drive her there.
  • She gets to her mothers room as her mother is awakening and stands at the door till the cameras are ready. Then rushes into her mothers arms.
  • After all this - the narrator says, oh, by the way, forensic tests have proven it wasn’t an Israeli shell that killed these people. It appears to have been Palestinian, but they aren’t going to jump to conclusions.

They didn’t seem to mind jumping to conclusions that it was Israel who had carelessly lobbed a bomb over to that particular area to kill an innocent family.

Just like they don’t seem to mind jumping to conclusions when it’s American soldiers who are being accused.

Yes, I said horrific. Because if it wasn’t an accident ……..

Think about that.

There are only a few reasons I can imagine that our media would go along with these sorts of propaganda episodes.

One reason might be that the MSM and others really do want Israel to be destroyed and the United States to be brought to it’s knees.

That means ‘they’ want US, you and me, brought to our knees.

Another reason is they are really that naive …. what do y’all think? Could they be that naive?

It could be they are just on the never-ending quest for a Pulitzer Prize winning photo. They want that elusive photo of the naked little girl running down the road screaming after being bombed with napalm.

Surely they wouldn’t put their own careers and quests to ‘get ahead’ above the lives of Soldiers, civilians and the good of their own countries. Would they?

This propaganda film is important in my opinion. I think it’s important to know your enemy. Suppose this scene was manufactured in order to keep the muslim people up in arms against the West. And to keep the West appologizing for imagined wrongs. If that is the case, then we have an enemy willing to use our own kindness against us and who are playing us for fools.

But they’ve done that before haven’t they. In Somalia, they used women and children as shields. There are many instances in which they have not hesitated to kill children, use them as shields, use them in propaganda. The history of this goes back as far as I can remember and I’m sure much further than that.

So why would we assume that they would not continue to do that. Why are we prone to assuming our Soldiers or Israel did something horrific rather than that these monsters are continuing to do what they have routinely done in the past.

They are being assisted by many within our own country.

They are playing us for fools.

That is the image that is still in our heads, isn’t it? The image of a little boy hiding behind his father, caught in the cross-fire. The image carried much more weight than the retraction three years later.

Of course for small minded people every historical event is a plot and history is one big conspiracy isn’ t it?

It seems that apathy regarding, if not sympathy for, terror is on the rise. I assume no one is advocating we “vote for your local terrorist” - it’s more subtle than that. I sense a pervasive and pernicious shift in our national ethos. And this plays directly into the hands of our enemies. It can only bode ill for our future.
