I’ve written 3 posts tonight that flew out into cyberspace never to be seen again. Out of frustration I gave up.

But then I read a post by Conservative Cat.[One of the reasons I like trackbacks and blogrolls, I get a heads-up on posts I might not otherwise see.]

He writes about seeing Ann Coulter on the Jay Leno show tonight. I also watched the show and had much the same reaction as Ferdy.

I thought Ann handled herself admirably and made her point well.

It has bothered me that she has been so viciously attacked for writing her opinion.

I know, I know. People think she’s been too harsh. Meanwhile, she has been asked to commit suicide and called just about every name there is to call someone. Viciously and hatefully attacked for saying something many of us have thought.

You haven’t thought it? Well, I have.

I know that making statements about anyone the liberals perceive as off limits results in personal attacks, smug condescension, ridicule and contempt. Any of us who have dared to speak of or write about certain subjects or persons know the drill.

We are told we are ‘idiots’ (that has to be the most used word). We are told we are mindless morons who march in step blindly following Bushitler. We are over-talked, yelled at, and shut down in any manner that works.

Almost inevitably, emotionally charged, personal and incendiary words and phrases are used. Just like we see with the liberals on the talk shows. Talk louder, make personal attacks, call anyone who disagrees a moron and/or idiot, use inflamatory language, etc. It’s the same deal.

Regardless of how you feel about Ann Coulter personally or about HOW she put her message across, you have to admit, she does get the message across.

Jay Leno asked her if her message might have been better received had she used honey instead of vinegar. She pointed out several instances in which honey had been used unsuccesfully. She said that after this the liberals would not be able to use victims to hide behind anymore. She said that using the 4 9/11 widows she referred to in her book or Cindy Shenanigans would not be as effective anymore because people HAVE reacted to her words.

She also pointed out with some amazment that the liberals are mad about her one little piece about the 9/11 widows using that status to make political statements while ignoring the fact she had written an entire book about them being ‘godless’. That was an interesting point.

I have to agree with her. The uproar and hateful spewing of attacks at her have proved her point.

Conservative Cat does a better job of summarizing the interview.

Now I’ll see if this will post or fly off into cyberspace.

See ya later :)

P.S. Jay Leno asked Ann Coulter if she has to have bodyguards (a telling question in itself). She replied that she goes around with Conservative men, so she doesn’t need bodyguards. They can handle themselves.

You can’t argue with THAT! l0l

Marooned in Marin reminds us that the liberals didn’t express any outrage over the mocking of Barbara Olsen following her murder in the terrorists attacks of 9/11/2001.

So, while liberals like Colmes join in on Coulter pile on, I wonder when they will find the time to express the same outrage at Democrats.com for mocking someone killed on 9/11.

Well? We’re waiting!

You might also note some of the comments about Ann Coulter in this post. See how tolerant the liberals are of free speech ….
