Our hearts are heavy today with the news of Soldiers who have gone missing and may have fallen into the hands of the enemy. Our prayers are with them and with our Soldiers who are desperately searching for them.

Pfc. Damien M. Corsetti was accused of beating prisoners in Afghanistan by Ahmed Al Darbi, prisoner of war and a brother-in-law of 9/11 hijacker. He has finally been acquitted of the charges. Chris at Lucky Dawg News is asking ‘Is this a way to thank someone who volunteered to serve their country?’ And apologizes since no one else seems to be doing so. Sounds a little like the Marines accused of atrocities by a Pennsylvania congressman with his own ambitions.

I don’t know about you, but I’m a little tired of our Soldiers being accused and criticized to further the careers of politicians and journalists.

Soccer Dad is Reporting for Duty with Military Monday, posting dedicated to positive stories of our brave Soldiers. I like that idea, Soccer Dad!

Code Red*Women for the Troops is reporting on Project Prayer Flag.

The Business of America is Business says Hire a Vet. He points out that when Iraq is up and running, it’s going to get to doing business. Who better to hire than a vet who is familiar with Iraq? Great point!

Take time, as you consider the sacrifices of the Founders and the countless men and women who have defended the flag and all it stands for, to also consider the plight of the Marines of Haditha who are being tried by a Jusy of Jackasses in the Mass Media Podpeoples Army and these marines (and one saillor) who are being held without charges in solitary confinement for an alleged crime (for which as yet, remember, they have not been charged). Remember that the foes our men and women in uniform face in defense of this nation and its flag are not always foreign, and cannot always be defeated with the typical arms of war.
