Our hearts are heavy today with the news of Soldiers who have gone missing and may have fallen into the hands of the enemy. Our prayers are with them and with our Soldiers who are desperately searching for them.

Our Warriors:
Wild Thing shares one of her favorite poems, The ‘No Right Answer’ Game.
So here at the front, harsh home of the grunt,
We ignore their attempts to defame.
The troops know the score, know what this war’s for.
Pfc. Damien M. Corsetti was accused of beating prisoners in Afghanistan by Ahmed Al Darbi, prisoner of war and a brother-in-law of 9/11 hijacker. He has finally been acquitted of the charges. Chris at Lucky Dawg News is asking ‘Is this a way to thank someone who volunteered to serve their country?’ And apologizes since no one else seems to be doing so. Sounds a little like the Marines accused of atrocities by a Pennsylvania congressman with his own ambitions.
I don’t know about you, but I’m a little tired of our Soldiers being accused and criticized to further the careers of politicians and journalists.
Soccer Dad is Reporting for Duty with Military Monday, posting dedicated to positive stories of our brave Soldiers. I like that idea, Soccer Dad!
Code Red*Women for the Troops is reporting on Project Prayer Flag.
The Business of America is Business says Hire a Vet. He points out that when Iraq is up and running, it’s going to get to doing business. Who better to hire than a vet who is familiar with Iraq? Great point!
Jack Yoest recalls the loss of the USS Scorpion nearly four decades ago. For the rest of the story read Five Days in May.
Woman Honor Thyself says Our Troops Get Some Love.
Our Soldiers are under attack, by the MSM. Chas Compilations is posting on the toll these attacks are taking on our Troops.
Life ~ Florida ~ Whatever has some ideas about how to Support the Troops.
Pure Gum Spirits has a video of Combat Euphoria.
Third World County honors Flag Day.
Take time, as you consider the sacrifices of the Founders and the countless men and women who have defended the flag and all it stands for, to also consider the plight of the Marines of Haditha who are being tried by a Jusy of Jackasses in the Mass Media Podpeoples Army and these marines (and one saillor) who are being held without charges in solitary confinement for an alleged crime (for which as yet, remember, they have not been charged). Remember that the foes our men and women in uniform face in defense of this nation and its flag are not always foreign, and cannot always be defeated with the typical arms of war.
War on Terrorism
Echo9er has information on a tribute to 9/11 victims that we can all participate in.
Centrerion Canadian Politics analyses what Canada has done to provoke terrorists in Canada’s “Provocation” of Islamist Terrorists. While he focuses on Canada, it really applies to the West in general. Do we deserve what the jihad or do the terrorists just want us all converted, dead, or in dhimmitude?
Stingray: A Blog for Salty Christians reports that al-Zarqawi document contradicts Democrats, American mainstream media. So how successful was al-Zarq in enlisting the MSM to turn the American public against the war? Stingray has some stats that are very interesting. He also notes the subdued reaction of the left to the death of al-Zarq and their lack of understanding as to why the American public isn’t buying it (one of my personal favorite observations about the left).
At the Wide Awake Cafe there is hope that the dominoes will continue to fall.
Beth at MVRWC supports Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s book, The Caged Virgin. Know your enemy.
Free Constitution reports on the Afghanistan Offensive in the War on Terrorism.
Politics
Seaspook’s Rants chronicles some of the distress expressed by progressives at the death of al-Zarqawi.
Basti Says liberals make great pets.
AubreyJ takes note that America voted this week through Congress.
Violence Worker reports on protests in Seattle marking a recent visit by the President. These protests could be an indicator of how the coming November elections will go.
and …..
Yankee Mom is working on a special project for the families of our Soldiers. Maybe you can help - she would like to hear about what helped you adjust to having a child or spouse in the military.
It’s been a really good week for our country in this war, but it’s been a Bad Week for Peace.
Avant News reports news from unnamed sources who are not authorized to give information. The uniformed source reports: U.S. Military to Reduce Iraq Troop Levels From 138,000 to 163,000.ÂÂ
Catnabbit is ready to go after evil “Furr-enersâ€Â!
