Poor chicks.
A short glance at their latest public statements makes it agonizingly obvious that they just aren’t very bright.
Lead singer Natalie Maines has notably stated:
The entire country may disagree with me, but I don’t understand the necessity for patriotism. Why do you have to be a patriot? About what? This land is our land? Why? You can like where you live and like your life, but as for loving the whole country… I don’t see why people care about patriotism.
It’s enough to make you embarassed for her.

Unrecognisable because you weren’t being treated in the style to which you had become accustomed?
Why is it that every celebrity who irritates their audience starts invoking the name of MaCarthy? What a sense of entitlement. Maybe people just don’t want what they’re selling anymore.
According to some reports their career will survive … well, overseas anyway. That might be just as well, maybe Japan will appreciate them more. After all, they say they don’t care much for their own country.
It doesn’t really matter cause they say they don’t want ‘uncool’ fans anyway. So there.

At first I was angry when the lead chick made her remarks about being embarrassed that President Bush was from Texas. Since then, their inane ramblings have just illustrated that their only talents - and meager ones at that - are in the realm of music. And there are many MUCH better musicians.

A very wise man once told my hubby, “You can’t fight ignorance”. In the case of the “Ditsy Chicks”, that is SO true. If they had any sense they would be embarrassed by the things they say. Sure they are entitled to have an opinion. But if you are going to express an opinion, at LEAST try to sound intelligent in the process!!!
