Thirty-five years ago today, on July 3, 1971, Jim Morrison was found dead in his bathtub in Paris. The Lizard King was 27 years old when he died.

Morrison was a tragic, brilliant, talented, haunted, shy, charismatic, troubled, beautiful poet.

He was a beautiful poet.
