There’s been a lot of discussion on the blogs about the horrifc murder of the Amish children last week. Much of the discussion has been about the reaction of the Amish to the murderer and his family. Their courage and willingness to forgive has been fodder for a great deal of reflection.
Kat at CatHouse Chat examines one of the questions that has been widely discussed. Do the Amish forgive too quickly? Don’t we have the right, or obligation, to hit back, harder?
She makes a lot of sense in her examination of those questions. It’s a good read.
