I’ve never done a Thursday Thirteen before. I keep seeing them everywhere and have thought I would do one, but then Thursday rolls around and sometime in the evening I might remember that I was going to do one and by then it’s too late. So, I’m prepared this week and am doing one. Although, I have no idea what I’m doing. But here it goes ….. ![]() 1. I love the tree that greets me at the bottom of my drive-way every day (pictured above). It turns a beautiful red. My up-the-hill neighbor told me she can see the top of the tree when she looks out her kitchen window and enjoys it every fall. 2. I like the way it looks from this angle too: ![]() 3. My sweet daughter was born in the fall and I love her. ![]() 4. Halloween is fun …. 5. Thanksgiving is a great time to get together with the family …. 6. Christmas is coming …. 7. I hate that we have to close the swimming pool, but I love not having to take care of it for a few months. I also love that we don’t have to pay the electric bill for the pump for a few months. The pool looks plain and leaves are all over it, but that’s just the way it is. ![]() 8. The oppressive heat of the summer is gone. 9. The air is getting crisper and has a fresh smell in the mornings. 10. I can wear boots and sweaters. 11. I love my fireplace and can start building fires in the evenings. ![]() 12. We can see the neighbors house since the leaves are falling off the trees. Seeing as he is prone to cooking out on his back deck nekkid that’s not necessarily a good thing. ![]() 13. One of the good things about the leaves falling off the trees is that we can sometimes see a bit of the sunset. ![]() Links to other Thursday Thirteens! |

The fall means a slowdown in work for me - so I’m not as fond as most - and in Southern California we don’t get the beauty of the season. However, I love Autumn in Vermont, Oregon, New York, Illinois. . . . . . .

What gorgeous colors. My trees’ leaves aren’t quite so brilliant, but they are dropping. In summer, the whole complex is the most wonderful green place…and my second-floor apartment means that I look out my window and feel like I’m living in a treehouse.
With an internet connection.
Welcome to TT! This is my first round, as well.

Welcome to TT. I love the pictures of the trees you included. Fall foilage is something I’ve really missed since I moved from the east coast to the mid-west.
