This is probably supposed to be a little more touchy-feely than listing ‘jerks’. But, hey, I’ve observed a lot of jerks this week and that’s what came to mind when I was thinking about what I could list.
We all know there are many more jerks, but these are the ones that are prancing around inside my television as I write this. Below is my offering of the top 13 jerks of the week. In no particular order ……
1. O.J. Simpson. Hopefully, the American people will not put out a single dime or one moment of their time to listen to his semi-confession to murder. Apparently, the guy can’t stand not being in the public eye. So, once again, he is victimizing his victims by writing a book about what happened, with a caveat that he didn’t do it, of course.
2. FedEx formerly known as KFed. Does it get any more pathetic than this scumbag? He will forever be known as the former husband of Britney Spears who tried to blackmail her into getting more money for 2 years of marriage. PATHETIC …. and a jerk.
3. Heather Mills. Yet another person marries a pop star and tries to get tons of money for a short marriage through threats and extortion. See #2.
4. The middle-aged man making out with the middle-aged woman on the airplane who threatened the flight attendant when she told them they were making other passengers uncomfortable and asked them to stop. No one wants to be stuck in an airplane with a couple indulging in overt and over-the-top PDAs. Oblivious, a bully and a jerk.
5. The middle-aged woman making out with the middle-aged man on the airplane for same reasons as #4.
6. John Murtha for more reasons than I can even itemize. But most recently for calling a proposed bill to deal with House ethics ‘total crap’. I’m sure he wouldn’t want any ethics investigations in Congress. I have to add for calling our Troops ‘cold blooded killers’ and for continuing to call for the surrender of American Troops in Iraq.
7. John Kerry. He said our Troops are stupid and lazy. Nuff said.
8. San Francisco. Banning ROTC??? Come on - give me a break. Discipline and opportunity are good things. They say they don’t want vulnerable children subjected to undue influence. At the same time they encourage the very same children to participate in gay clubs. How about a little tolerance in San Francisco??
9. The Parents filming and encouraging 6 and 7 year olds to fight. Cheering them on and then posting the video on the internet. Idiots.
10. The insurance auditor I had to spend most of today with. Come to think of it, he might be the reason this is the only subject I could think of to do this list on.
11. Tom Cruise. I guess he’s trying to salvage his career now after his recent very public manic phase. He actually went to appologize to Brooke Sheilds - bet that was painful. Now he’s marrying his ‘baby’s mama’ and she doesn’t look very happy and has been strangely out of the public eye since the baby has been born. I seriously hope she’s not suffering from post-partum depression.
12. Whoever is stealing all my bandwidth
13. Whoever is stealing all my bandwidth. Yeah, that’s twice - but whoever is taking all my bandwidth should’ve gotten all 13.
Plus, I can’t think of another jerk off the top of my head at the moment. As soon as I post this dozens more will come to mind

This is a thoughtful and entertaining list! Adults seem to be having a very hard time acting like adults lately, don’t they? Thanks for stopping by my Thursday Thirteen–I see we had the same idea on a couple of them–numbers 2 and 11.

Way to go! I agree with all thirteen! I HATE spammers, by the way. I would NEVER buy anything via a link through spam email or comments.

I love this list. Sorry about #12 and 13, ick! I don’t know anyone who would actually pay real attention to a spammer, ah well.

Also the wooden fire engine from the same section….
And the wooden ambulance there as well - all three were 1/2 off, the best $1.50 I’ve ever spent. They have to go everywhere with…
