WOW — those images are burned into my retinas now! We thought we looked soooooooooo cool (and it’s so funny that those cool “soccer.rock star hairdos were mullets!!)

In the 80’s I got my drivers license, went on my first official date, graduated high school, left home for college 1K + miles from home, moved back home, moved out on my own, and got married all in that one decade…and I STILL had hair bigger than the woman in that first pic!! LOL But I didn’t just have BIG hair I had TEXAS BIG hair!!
There must have been at least ONE person on the planet who tried to warn us about those mullets…why didn’t we listen???? eww

I pretty much grew up in the 80’s, too, and I am wondering two things:

1. where are all the references to the kick azz heavy metal???????

and

2. When do we get to see a picture of you with your 80’s big hair? I’m betting it was kinda Flock of Seagulls-ish (ducking :))

OH! This list fits my mood PERFECTLY today! I’m very tired, trying to stay awake as I drive around town. So I’ve been playing the 80’s hits station LOUD, with my windows down, singing (if you could call it that) at the top of my lungs. And to think I forgot about the leg warmers.

Cool. I loved the 80’s then, and I look back on ‘em with joy now. I graduated high school, graduated from college the first time, fell in love, got married, my wife had two daughters in the 80’s.

And all the “stuff” about the 80’s, like mullets (didn’t have one, thank the Lord), and leg warmers, is just plain fun to remember and funny to see pictures of.

I liked Spandau Ballet (sp?), but I didn’t remember all of them having mullets. Great find, great list.
