Carol at The Median Sib has some examples of Christmas notes written to our Soldiers from elementary school children.
The children in her school wrote the letters.
I will start off with the card that should win an award somewhere! This child gets it - because of our American soldiers there IS still hope in the world.
When we get discouraged at the dhimmitude, lack of integrity, lack of faith and outright cowardice in the world, the words of the children give us hope again.
Dear Soldier,
How is it going? You know if I was there I would be scared. I’m sure I would miss my family and friends, but you are doing the right thing. You’re saving a lot of people. You people rock! I hope you have a wonderful merry Christmas.
I’ve been told that letters, notes and cards mean a lot to the Soldiers. Mail Call is the highlight of the day. It brings a little home and familiarity to them in that strange, violent and foreign land. If you can, follow the lead of these children. Send them a note of thanks. Let them know you care.
UPDATE: Yankee Mom has some info one how to send cards to Soldiers. Send a post card to a Soldier through Let’s Say Thanks. It fast and easy. Just a couple of clicks can make a Soldiers day!

How nice! Thanks for the mention, and I hope your post results in lots of cards and letters being sent to soldiers. I can’t wait for my nephew to get this package of cards and letters - plus lots of other goodies.

Thanks Carol - the notes/letters/cards were great! I especially like the one you led off with. Well, and the one where the little kid was reassuring the that Santa would come there for them! lol
