I forgot to watch 24 tonight. What’s even worse, and I’m confessing a secret here, I have never watched a full episode of 24. In fact, the first time I ever watch any of 24 was the last hour of the premiere last night.
I know, I know. I have to be the only person on earth that hasn’t watched 24. I keep WANTING to watch it and keep missing it. I would have missed it last night except the Cotillion ladies were all chatty about it. Unfortunately, I didn’t read their emails until an hour into the show.
I liked what I saw of it. I liked the politically incorrectness of it.
The thing that I am wondering is why Jack Bauer kept saying he couldn’t do this anymore. Is he starting to wimp out or having a crisis of conscience? What’s going on with him?

Well, he was tortured by the Chinese for quite awhile, so when he has to do that to someone else, he has trouble due to the memory of that.
I dont want to spoil it but there was a very good reason, on top of his torture by the Chinese, for him to say that in tonight’s episode.

OMG! Please don’t start watching 24. It’s horribly addictive. You will develop heart palpitations during each episode that will last for hours. You will have so many mid-week cravings that you will end up going out to buy every past season to watch during the week. Then, of course, you won’t be able to keep the story lines straight.

I LOVE this show! It is soooooo very good. You should rent the dvds of the first 5 seasons and watch them to really understand the series. And, actually, during tonight’s episodes I saw a commercial that said the first 4 episodes of this season will be on dvd in stores tomorrow (Tuesday)!!! With a sneak peek at next week’s episode. Goodness!
Poor Jack! He has had so much happen to him the last 5 seasons. The Chinese did something so horrible to him that he is questioning himself. I was glad to hear the old Jack voice. I think he will be fine because he knows what he has to do. He just needs a bit of time to get himself together.

Last year was the first time I watched it, and it is pretty addictive. It is thoroughly unbelievable, but still pretty good. Sometimes I just have to start laughing at.
I figure his character is starting to get a crisis of conscience. He has killed more of his own people than the bad guys, at least until last night.

You should be able to watch it this season and figure out what is going on, but you really need to rent the first 5 seasons and have a Jack Bauer viewing fest on the weekend (is how the SGM and I got caught up).
But its not “required” you watch “24″ … I will still speak to you … but I think you will enjoy it!

24 Went Nuclear Monday Night!…
No sooner did I write this post about 24, than I find this on Drudge via Hot Air (who has video).
Apparently, Monday night’s episode of 24 was pretty radioactive! Now I’ve got to watch it! Heh!
