- My garage needs cleaning out. Badly!
- My daughter moved into our basement briefly. She finished her master’s degree one day and the next packed up her car and moved across country (I don’t think another piece of paper would have fit into that car). I have piddled at cleaning down there since she left - but I really need to git’er done!
My bird, Billy, has chewed the wallpaper off the wall behind his cage. This isn’t the first time he’s done something like this. One time my brother and sister-in-law kept Billy for us while we were moving and he ate the wallpaper off their kitchen wall. He did it in the shape of Africa - so we figure since he’s an African Grey that he has some kind of secret longing to go back to the land of his ancestors.- I need to water my plants. They are looking pretty puny.
- My closet has so many old clothes in it, I can’t fit my new clothes in it. I really need to take some clothes off to where ever I take old clothes.
- I started making my daughter’s old bedroom (not the one in the basement) into an office. It’s turned into a room that is gathering junk. I need to clean out the junk and actually start using it for an office.
- I need to pay my bills that are sitting here in front of my computer staring at me.
- The garbage needs to be taken up the hill tonight.
- I want to remodel both of my upstairs bathrooms. The guy that built this house was a basketball player/coach - so he built everything taller. I’m shorter. Needless to say, there are many things in this house that I can’t reach. I have step ladders all over the house. The sinks in the bathrooms get on my nerves the most. I want to make them normal height.
- Speaking of Billy (the bird), I have to whistle or speak to him when ever I walk past him. If I don’t he has emotional problems. We used to set him out on a back porch in good weather. We thought it gave him the opportunity to commune with other birds. We thought that would make him happy. You see, he’s a VERY mean bird. He’s the meanest bird I have ever seen. He’ll bite you will you are trying to feed him - that’s the truth!
One day we got up to find him feather-less. He had literally plucked out all his feathers - every one of them. He was ready to slap on the grill. He looked pathetic. We set him out on the porch more thinking he needed to be around his own. He kept plucking them out for a long time. We decided he had mites or something. We finally took him to the vet who told us he was a ‘people bird’ and it made him insecure to be out on the porch. He wants to be with us. HE’S A PEOPLE BIRD!!!!! That mean bird is a people bird! So I have to talk to him when I ever go by him. Since we keep him inside with us, he has quit plucking out his feathers!!! - I need to write my next Thursday Thirteen on all my neurotic pets - they all have issues.
- My whole house needs a good thorough cleaning, but I still sit at the computer more than I should.
- This list is making me realize how much I’m ignoring all the stuff that needs to be done! I’d better get at least something done tonight!
The purpose of the meme is to get to know everyone who participates a little bit better every Thursday. Visiting fellow Thirteeners is encouraged! I hope that you are able to get it all done!
BTW, on your “No Child Left Behind” post, I am SO with you on that one. I am amazed at how much the airline ended up compensating that family for something that wasn’t even the airline’s fault. What is this world coming to? *shaking head*
Happy Thursday!

LOL I had a cat with serious mental health issues! I loved her soooo much, but we all had to kind of work around her nuerosis. Have a great day!

That’s hilarious about the bird! I should make a list like this and get motivated to get away from the computer. Maybe after reading some more Thursday Thirteens.

I can identify with staying on the computer too much and not getting done what needs to be done around here. I need to do some thorough cleaning of my closets again. We did it a couple years ago, but they are in a mess again!
