- The very best thing that happened this past week is that my son is not in Iraq. He’s on a two-week leave. He’s not home, but he’s not in Iraq. I’ve gotten to talk with him on the phone almost every day since he got to his R&R. YEAH!
- My mother had some surgery and came through just fine and with good results.
- My daughter seems to be getting adjusted to her new life in California. I know that because she is not calling me as often. On the other hand, I miss her calls!
- I worked too much this past week, but finished up a couple of things that had been hanging over my head. They are finished and I didn’t touch anything that had to do with work all weekend.
- My son’s girlfriend is spoiling him to death. I’m very pleased that she seems to be a very sweet young lady and they seem to genuinely care for each other.
- One of my major stresses at work took a sudden turn this week and I am allowing myself just a tiny bit of hope that it’s going to work out.
- The major thing this week is that my son is not in Baghdad. I know I already wrote that - but that really is the major good thing that happened this week. It’s amazing the sense of utter relief of that!
NOTE: I don’t know why my Mister Linky is opening in another window??? I’ll figure it out - meanwhile, I’ll make sure your links on on the front page. ![]()

Beth, I am SO glad that J is not in Iraq for a little while! That must be a great relief. He (and you) continue to be in my prayers.
I am glad your mom is doing well. I did not know she had surgery!
Thanks for stopping by my list!
BSC: Thanks Jane! Mother is fine. It was minor surgery, but we were concerned it might turn into major surgery. But the results were good (I can’t say positive, cause they were negative so that was good! lol) - and further treatment won’t be necessary.
I’m so glad you have been able to talk to your son all this week. Be assured of my prayers for his safety. Hope things at work do work out well. It’s hard being so far away from family. We have yet to meet our only grandchild. Virtual hugs coming your way.
BSC: Thank you so much! How awful not to have met your grandchild - how old is she/he? I have a feeling I’ll be in that position - one child in California and the other loves Europe and hopes to live there when he’s completed his service! So I’ll be going in both directions! lol
Those are also things for which I am grateful. Tell J next time you talk to him that his Aunts and Uncles still love him very much and are thankful he is out of Iraq for awhile.
BSC: I’ll do that Joan! Thanks
I wish I could see him - it’s been such a long time! But he sounds good!
I’m excited - I’m on comments and still online! Yea! I am also thankful that your son is no longer in Iraq. I sure wish he didn’t have to go back. Amen to what Joan and Jane and Lazy Daisy all said. Great Sunday Seven.
BSC: I don’t know why you keep getting bumped off! I have the same template you have
Have you had any complaints? I may have to change templates. But I like this one
Maybe I don’t have it installed right or something. BTW - I wish J didn’t have to go back too and I’m sure he does too!
