Rep John Kline is also against the anti-surge resolution. He presented a rather eloquent speech in the floor debate. Click my name for a copy.

Where is the outrage?

All this "I love/support the troops" stuff is just fine, but where is the outrage about how badly they have been let down by our government?

Our service men and women have been shipped out - inadequately trained, inadequately armoured and inadequately funded. Where is the outrage?

They are paid so little that military families need assistance just to survive, yet the government contracts private companies and private soldiers to do the same work at 5/6/7 times the salary. Where is the outrage?

Our troops have to buy some of their own equipment. Their benefits have been cut by this adminstration and the treatment and support given to our wounded and injured veterans is abominable. Where is the outrage?

I'm all for taking the Democrats to task but Republicans had control of both houses, had a supposedly troop loving President as well - yet our troops are worse off than ever. Where is the outrage? Where WAS the outrage? Where were the blog posts DEMANDING better treatment for our service men and women?

It's all to easy to pile on now. Where were we when they needed us before?
