That is such a funny story… one I could have written about myself and hubby… in fact one time we did go to IHOP and I was miffed about it and ordered those same pecan waffles… what’s up with pecan pancakes and pity parties?! Anyways - I ordered those to try to lay on the guilt trip… but of course he didn’t get it. =) And I discovered I actually like pecan pancakes!!!

So glad you have taken over TT!! I am glad it will continue!

There is just something about restaurants and couples, food and couples, that create stories like this.

I am a vegetarian and accidentally ate part of my husband’s sandwich and even LOOKED for the meat when it tasted so awful, but didn’t lift the right piece of lettuce, I guess. He wondered why ‘his’ was so bland. I knew then he had lost it, mine was not bland. . .

OMG! I thought I had written this post in my sleep and forgotten about it! This kind of stuff happens to me and Hubby all the time. No kidding!
Recently it’s been the knee fiasco. He had to have surgery so his knees hurt more than mine. I hurt my knee but just need PT. SO I should be doing all my work anyway.

What a great story. I couldn’t stop after the first couple sentences. You sound like me. I don’t want to ruffle feathers. Has anyone ever told you that you were ‘too nice’. That can be a two edged sword. A compliment on the one hand and an insult on the other.

I learned long ago to read my wife’s “that’s ok”, so I agree to anything she wants. If we have to fly to Vegas to get the dessert “Death by Chocolate” at the Red Square in Mandalay Bay I say no problem. If she wants vanilla yogurt at 3 in the morning I go get it.

Why? Because I am the most obnoxious, vile, undeserving person on this planet to have such an adoring, smart, beautiful, generous, affectionate woman loving me and I would be crazy to do anything to make her think she could find a more willing slave elsewhere.

When we first got married all her friends and relatives predicted we would be divorced within a year or two. We’re still married after 11,581 days (31 years, 8 months, and 12 days) but whose counting?

And those friends and relatives? Almost all of them have divorced.
