Kellie Pickler was voted off American Idol during last year’s season. She didn’t win the contest, but like so many other years the runners-up become more famous than the winners.
Kellie Pickler was a very attractive contestant last year. She was bubbly and had an innocent, small town girl act that was a tad over the top. She was funny and fun. I saw her doing a show on the red carpet one time. I don’t remember what show it was, but she was doing a commentary on the celebrities as they walked the red carpet into the event. She was hilarious and entertaining. I continued watching it just because she was fun to watch.
It looks like hollywood decided that Kellie was talented and marketable too. It looks like handlers have gotten ahold of her. She has changed from the carefree funny girl with a Dolly Parton-Type voice into …. I’m not sure what she’s turned into. It seems to me that she is making an effort to exude the persona that came naturally just a year ago.
The very characteristics that were charming, endearing and made people like her are being ‘handled’ out of her.
It’s really too bad.

I was broken hearted when I saw how many years just the makeup alone added to her age. Those that didn’t see her live performance and some of the camera angles on American Idol will not see just how much they took the youth and innocence out of her.
She was still bubbly but I thought she looked cheap. Her dress was WAY too tight and I was really saddened by the way she looked.

Kellie has turned into a gorgeous woman. Would you people prefer she wear a Nun’s outfit? She was classy. If you want to complain about women’s outfit, try watching hip-hop videos and then complain about it. It’s easy to criticize someone, specially if you don’t know that person at all. And that’s just sad.
BSC: Yes, she is gorgeous. I think she looked better natural. If she’s going to be a star, she has to get used to critique. Why are you so defensive?

Is anyone trashing Bucky for getting a divorce. Oh no, that would be a moral issue. Lets trash a little girl who has had very little guidance and money and is hurting no one in her decisions once she has received all this overnight attention
BSC: Brenda, I don’t know who Bucky is??? I don’t keep that close track of all of this. I just noticed Kellie Pickler because she was so delightful when she was on a couple of shows I saw. Very innocent, funny, clever and attractive. She seems like a natural. The fact that she doesn’t have guidance is my point. She’s left the the mercies of people who want to make money off her.
I hope she finds her OWN way and not the way of those who would take advantage of her. My point is I liked the natural her better than the hollywood version of her. The natural her is what got her noticed to begin with. I wish her nothing but the best.

I think That Beth was using her as a social commentary about how her natural personality is deemed backwards and “simple” and unsellable, by the people in the industry.
I am personally sorry that she doesn’t have the character to resist their “handling”.

That is my point. It was that natural personality that made her attractive and ‘they’ (the handlers) seem to be taking that out of her. She might have the character yet, she’s just started out. I hope she does. She was a breath of fresh air the way she was.
I think she played this one wrong. The implants are probably too large and her “nice gal country fresh” image might be stained. She could have gone smaller and been less forward about it and it might have played better. Then again I am not a Hollyweird type.
