This Shari’a thing is just going too far when the German’s are caving in to muslim law. Little Green Footballs is reporting that German banks are not giving PIGGY BANKS to kids anymore in deference to muslim shari’a law.
Why Muslims Object to Piggy Banks.
WETZLAR  Islam is slowly but surely taking a grip on the European culture, warns the German journalist and university lecturer Udo Ulfkotte. Traditional values, customs and judicial standards are gradually customized to meet Muslim requirements.
As Ulfkotte explained at a meeting of Christian Democrats in Wetzlar, March 8, more and more institutions are making allowances for Muslims. Many banks, he said, are abandoning the so-called piggy banks, because they are afraid of losing Muslim customers. Muslims regard the pig as an unclean animal.
German butchers who sell pork are targeted by Muslim extremists, according to Ulfkotte. Muslims occasionally spit on sausages on sale at open-air markets.In some European cities Muslim taxi drivers refuse to transport dogs, even blind persons with guide dogs. [Sound familiar? â€â€ed.] Two schools in Berlin have installed two separate entrances – one for German Christians and Jews and the other for Muslim Arabs and Turks.
The Muslim Sharia law is also beginning to take hold. Banks are offering Sharia-friendly investments, Ulfkotte said. Authorities in Berlin have recognized a Sharia lawyer, who settles family feuds.
Islamic militants warn Austria, Germany
CAIRO, Egypt - Islamic militants threatened to attack Germany and Austria unless the two European nations break ranks with the U.S. and withdraw their personnel from Afghanistan, according to a Web statement.
“Germany will face more threats and dangers if it doesn’t withdraw its troops from Afghanistan,†an unidentified speaker said in a video statement posted Saturday on an Islamic Web site used by al-Qaida-linked militants.

There are some lines that have to be drawn here. I am perfectly okay with people having whatever religious ideas they want to have. I never had a problem with muslims till they started trying to impose their religious beliefs on the rest of us. It’s mind-boggling to me that the Germans are submitting to shari’a law. The Germans for crying out loud!!!
There are some things that are just entrenched in our Western lives and should not be messed with. Piggy Banks is one of them. We ALL had piggy banks!
This won’t go over in the Southeastern United States. Pork is one of our basic food groups. NO ONE cooks a pig like a Southerner. I grew up on it. I grew up eating it.
Any self-respecting native Atlantan rode the Pink Pig at Rich’s downtown during their growing up years. It’s tradition.Now it’s at Macy’s at Lenox Square. I guess I’m telling my age to remember riding it at Rich’s downtown.
Shari’a law won’t go over in the South even when pig’s fly and for those of us that grew up in Atlanta we know that pigs already fly.

First of all, I would like to say that it is interesting and well thought of you to address the issues that you have outlined above.
Thus, I intend to point out a few of these issues and respond to them accordingly.
First I would like to point out that Islam is not a new religion that just popped out of nowhere, like the media has made it so and taken an interest in tainting the religion as a hate driven one since 9/11, but a religion that has been here, as we believe since the dawn of time. This is because we believe that all the Prophets since Adam (first man on earth) up to Muhammad (s.a.w) [i.e. including Jesus and Moses peace be upon them all) have come with the one message, the message of truth from the Almighty God. Furthermore, there is proof that Muslims have always showed tolerance and respect towards other faiths. If you study Islamic history and crusades, the Muslims lived mutually and peacefully and allowed other faiths to establish there faiths when under the Islamic states, for instance in Damascus, Jerusalem and so fort. Islam also teaches us to show mercy and tolerance to all of God’s creation.
This leads me to the next issue of the taxi driver who wouldn’t let a dog unto his taxi. As I noted above our religion of Islam teaches us to show compassion to animals as part of God’s creation (and even to our environment) and this was also a practice of the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w).
The fact that we make our needs and demands with regards to our faiths doesn’t mean that we intend to impose on other faiths our beliefs or make life harder for others. But merely that we recognise that all that we do is for the sake of pleasing the one God and to Him is our ultimate return and we shall be accounted for each and everything we did on the day of reckoning and hence we must implement our religion ‘amongst ourselves.’
I find it hard that people lack foresight on the fact that Muslims are really peaceful people and we do not dwell much for worldly things because we believe strongly that this world is finite and the infinite one is in the hereafter.
Having said all that however, it is important to bear in mind that there are good and bad people in every religion and hence amongst Muslims, but a religion should nonetheless be judged by its few misguided followers. I will like to leave you with a bit of thought; there are currently 1 billion Muslims in the world, that is 1 in 5 people around are Muslims, if we were all that corrupted, fundamentalists, full of hate, oppressors and what not that people say we are, well, look around you and think again will the world even be half as ‘peaceful’ as it is?
The previous comment would have more credibility if not anonymous. However, as regards organized religion, I’m not a big fan. I see too many flaws in the institutions that survive along with standard claims of innocent intentions. I doubt anyone believes that all Muslims are full of violence and hate. But what most people find puzzling, myself included, is how many Muslims remain silent or ignore responsibility to rein in the radical killers among them.

Looks like piggy banks aren’t kosher anymore in German financial institutions. The Muslim objection to piggy banks (h/t LGF) isn’t the only example of how German law and culture are becoming more and more Islamicized. A few examples:

Anonymous, if Muslims had had the oil money they have today back in 722 AD, we would all be speaking Arabic now while we tend our sheep and goats. America would still be on an uncharted map because you cannot cross the ocean on a camel. There would be no Christianity, certainly no Jews, and no modern civilization. But, oh the beautiful Mosques and madrassas, they would be plentiful indeed.
So spare me that Muslims have been around for thousands of years and nothing bad has happened. There are 1.5 billion of them or 25% of the world, up from 1% 1400 years ago. In Africa, before Muslims were taught by imperialists how to extract oil from worthless deserts, there were less than 10% Muslims. But now, with oil revenues to finance Islamic revolutions, Africa is majority Muslim.
So please spare me that nothing bad has been happening for 1400 years. I don’t care what sand fleas were doing from 722 to 1900. It’s what they are doing now that counts. Today. And it ain’t as peaceful a picture as you’d like us to believe. But deception is one of the Pillars of Islam, isn’t it?
Right! I have to make this clear that I am not here to open up a debate floor but I merely took it a duty upon me to reply to this somewhat presumptions article nor do i ask for anyone to agree with my views.
I will just briefly respond to what bernie identified as a pillar of islam; deception. To be honest the first thing I felt on seeing that comment was disgust! I don’t know where that came from but nonetheless and with all due respect I shall give you an answer. No, deception is not a pillar of Islam, infact Islam has 5 pillars and they include Prayer (salat), fasting(sawm),giving alms (zakaat), going for hajj (i.e pilgrimage if you can) and last but not least belief in one God (not associating any partners with Him)and that the Prophet Muhammad is His messenger.
I also see no relevance in displaying my name because there would not be any point to it as we do not and may never know each other anyway. The main thing is the point i represent.

However, a lot of muslims condem this action but it is obvious that our voices aren’t load enough!!!
