American infantry and snipers from the U.S. Army’s 3rd Stryker Brigade team up with Iraqi soldiers from the 6th Iraqi Army Division during a firefight on Baghdad’s notorious Haifa Street, January 2007.
AubreyJ. has an article with more detailed reporting on this battle.
“The mission was a success,” Torres said. “The enemy was greatly disrupted and the Iraqi Army and coalition forces made an impact”

For a Swede the thought of war is very far away. I’ve never even been close of it OR any discussion of Sweden participating in any war. Of course Sweden is supposed to always stay neutral. How easy is that in reality as this? *shaking my head*
I stopped by for another reason, to invite you to our fabulous cyber cruise that starts now on Friday the 16th of March with many fantastic destinations such as: Sweden, Norway, Belgium, Spain, Germany, Alaska (!), US, Italy, Dominican Republic, Australia and other mystery destinations!)
Welcome to cruise with us
BSC: Thanks Lifecruiser!! I’ll be there. I would love to visit all those places. I haven’t been to a single one you mentioned :). I’ll definitely be there
As for war - I can’t help but think of it with my son there. Sometimes I think of it too much - so the cruise sounds like just the cure!
