As everyone knows, Rosie O’Donnell was once known as a comedian. At one time she had a T.V. talk show and would have been considered somewhat successful in the entertainment field. Her career took a sharp downward turn as her jokes got old and she got mean. Or rather, as she quit trying to hide her mean streak.
In recent years there hasn’t been a lot of work for Rosie other than getting the occasional attention grabbing headline by doing or saying something outrageous and usually mean-spirited.
Then there came the marriage of a show that was going down the tubes with a one-time comedian with a career that was going down the tubes. This unholy union met the needs of both the show, The View, and the one-time comedian, Rosie O’Donnell. The show provides Rosie with a bully pulpit from which to spew her hate-filled rhetoric and personal attacks on whoever is in her sites on any given day. In return Rosie drums up enough publicity to get people to tune into The View providing it with an audience. Prior to Rosie, The View had a viewership of about 10. Prior to The View, no one remembered Rosie except in the brief moments she was able to grab a headline here and there.
Since the beginning of the union between The View and Rosie O’Donnell we have been treated to an endless stream of bullying spouted from the mouth of Ms. O’Donnell. She is non-discriminatory in her hate speech - she passes it along to any and every one she doesn’t like. The only requirement seems to be that the person she’s hating that day is someone who has disagreed with her opinions in some way or the other.
I generally don’t like to write anything about her because that is what she craves. Not that my little blog would mean anything to her. It’s just the principle of the thing. Regardless, her latest rant about her PITY for Khalid Shaikh Mohammed just cried out for commentary. I know, I know, everything she does cries out for commentary. But this is just over the top - even for the mean-spirited Rosie O’Donnell.
Khalid Shaikh Mohammed has long been the suspected mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks. He has now confessed to his participation in those attacks and others. He has confessed to personally murdering Daniel Pearl and given evidence of his complicity in those crimes. The democrats and the media are downplaying his confessions and par for the course, Ms. Rosie O’Donnell is front and center claiming that she pities this man who has the blood of thousands on his hands. She PITIES HIM. She says the American government’s tactics dehumanized him, ’stripped him of his humanity’ she said. The American government used torture.
Well ain’t that just a cryin’ shame!!!!
Sadly, all of them, the liberal left, the media and the hateful mouths like Rosie’s are trying to drum up sympathy for the likes of Mohammed for their terrible treatment at our hands. Black is white and white is black. Nothing is as it appears. The good guys are the bad guys and the bad guys are the good guys.
One would wonder why they have to take this stance. But then we realize that to stay in denial of the threat that exist from islamofascists we can’t believe that they are really as determined to kill us as they claim.
Meanwhile, I’ve heard one reason after the next as to why Barbara Walters keeps Rosie O’Donnell on her show, even though it’s an obvious embarrassment to her. She is repeatedly excused because she needs the ratings. Barbara Walters is given a pass for keeping Rosie on her show because she needs the ratings. In this day and age, that is a legitimate excuse for bad behavior.
Every day we are daily faced with choices between right and wrong. Do we take this path or that path. Do we make our choices based on what is right or based on what will enrich us the most. Many of us were raised with a sense of morality and at least feel we SHOULD choice the RIGHT thing over the easy thing. Most of us understand that at times we have to make sacrifices in order to do the right thing.
So at what point did we get in the mind set that good ratings, making more money, is an acceptable reason to tolerate bad behavior?
I don’t care how much we are all talking about The View now that Rosie O’Donnell is on there. I don’t care how much more money they are all making. I don’t care how entertaining it is to watch Rosie bully people she doesn’t like. At some point it’s time to to stand up and do the right thing and take her bully pulpit away from her.
Rosie O’Donnell long ago went over the top. She long ago became a circus sideshow. But using her ability to speak to a national audience to defend a terrorists and not just any terrorists, the terrorists who was the mastermind behind 9/11. He is the terrorists who, by his own admission, personally sawed off Daniel Pearl’s head. When she colludes with the devil in such a manner to get a bigger audience and the shocked gasps of the world, it’s time for her to go.
Barbara Walters, what line will Rosie have to cross before the money won’t be worth the demise of credibility and character?

we need more ppl who can think outside of their television box… there still is a substantial amount of investigation needed in the 9-11 case… yes we should respect those that died in 9-11 but destroying countless other human beings is not the way to go… if you truly cared, you wouldn’t put other families through what we went through…
we have become the terrorists…
what would drive you to hate a person you don’t even know?
go back to sleep…

“We have become the terrorists…” That’s what’s wrong. Someone is telling us to go back to sleep and that’s exactly what is happening!
I came to your site from another and am so glad I did! Only one bad thing about your site: I read those two comments above and my blood pressure shot up, I’m certain! Rosie has been given free license to flap her jaws, and except for Elizabeth, “The View” has become an estrogen-filled hate-for- dollars freak show.
Thank you so much for your rebuttal to her comments. Someone has GOT to do it!!!
~~~Blessings~~~
Open Letter to Ms. Walters & ABC:
I have great respect for you and all that you have accomplished through out the years and I hold no animosity towards you or anyone on the “View.†I do however hold you and ABC accountable for the hate filled Rosie O’Donnell comments that do nothing but convey false information and incite the radical fringe against our men and women in the military. I have a daughter that is currently serving our country and I sick to the core of my being that a person like Rosie O’Donnell can come on national TV daily and inject her vile and depraved rhetoric about honorable people who are willing to give their lives so that she can speak. Her latest comments about the 15 British sailors and her thoughts about the poor terrorist being held in Guantanamo take the cake. I am in fear that her reckless and twisted rants will harm our military beyond repair and put them in harms way. It is treasonous to me that she can use her bully pulpit to spout her insane thoughts and ABC is her willing accomplice… just for ratings.
I am willing to start a boycott of the View and ABC, even though I love watching you and many other programs on ABC. I am willing to join other organizations and groups to stop the onslaught of Rosie rants. I am also willing to boycott and write advertisers that support the View (with advertising dollars) to express my displeasure with their media placement.
I want you to know that this is my first letter to anyone and I am resolved in my efforts from this point onward. I have never, in my entire life, felt so helpless and angered by what someone has said on National television. I may not accomplish anything in my efforts…but you now know how I feel.
I thank you for letting me express my thoughts on this subject.
Sincerely,
An American with a Daugher in the Military
I’d be sorely tempted to spit in her face, if I ever ran into her on the street.
BSC: I know EXACTLY what you mean!!
I am ready and willing to write letters, make phone
calls and boycott ABC. Today was the worst, ( I have
refused to watch since Rosie came on ) but I have
saw the rant over and over today. Angry lady today
said we all have the right to say what we want but
we certainly do not all have the platform and that is
what is so scary. So many people think that because
someone is on TV they know something. The news, the papers etc are jokes. A piece of paper will let you write
anything on it but it does not make it true nor does
it make it true because someone on tv said it.
I can no longer standy by and say nothing. Rosie spews idiotic trash and verbally attacks our President. Like President Bush or not he is our comander and chief. Her empathy for terrorist and those that see our country as an evil empire leaves me with no choice but to boycott all products advertised on The View (P.S. I have never taken a stand like this oreven written againts any other show before.
Sincerely.
