He has this old charm about him, a voice that is so mellow and cool and old-worldish. He may not have a powerful vocals but you can feel his soothing voice in a powerful way. I love Sanjaya. However, he cannot sing better than the other contestants who are left. I think he is very smart because he is playing up his quirkiness - and people love it. And there's the "vote for the worst" folks who take credit for keeping Sanjaya on the show. However, they tried to keep Antonella and failed. So I'm not sure how much influence they really have. I think Sanjaya's bad press (people talking about how bad he is) has actually helped him. He can sing. However, he cannot sing better than the other contestants who are left.
