If she can't stand it now, it's best that they move on. I can't help but wonder though if it's not so much the military rather than the fact that he is "preferring to go out drinking with his colleagues than drive back to London to see Kate." She has to realize that the comraderie that needs to develop amongst a unit is very important, and wives and girlfriends do take a backseat at many times during military careers. If it tips too much the other way though, there can be problems as well. Is Wills tipping too much the other way? Indeed. If she can’t stand it now, it’s best that they move on. Most civilians have absolutely NO idea how military families bond and deal with the military way of life in war and peace. Most civilians, especially liberals, that haven't worn a military uniform, or has family or loved ones that have, or are blest to live around US military installations and naval ports - have no idea what 'patriotism' and 'Duty, Honor, Country' and 'selflessness' and 'sacrifice' are all about!
