As everyone anywhere near American television knows, Don Imus, a shock jock with a 30 year job history of being a ‘grumpy old man’ making fun of everyone lost his job for being a ‘grumpy old man’ who made fun of the wrong group.

There are so many examples of a double standard here that it boggles the mind. But Little Miss Attila noted another one that I thought was pretty much right on the mark.

John KerryJohn Kerry, a United States Senator who has a 40 year history of treasonous activities once again spoke out against the United States military while we are at war and kept his job.

So if I understand this correctly, it’s okay for a representative of the United States, a Senator no less, to do a ‘botched joke‘ that undermines the United States military but it’s not okay to botch a joke if you are a guy who sits on the radio and jokes around for a living.

Just want to make sure I understand.

From Little Miss Attila

Only in America: a team of champions who think they’re victims, an old white fool who talks like a gangsta rapper, and multi-millionaires grown rich on race-baiting who promote themselves as guardians of civility. Good thing there are no real problems to worry about.

She also says:

In a sane universe, Imus would have apologized and the MSM would have moved on.

Of course, if a “botched joke” is a firing offense, it would seem that John Kerry’s career should be over. No?

No. Big Media don’t see it that way, because soldiers, airmen and Marines can never be victims in the sense that champion basketball players can.

You got that right!
