I happened to catch the arrival of Queen Elizabeth II into the Jamestown settlement yesterday. When I turned on the TV and the announcer guy was saying something about watching for the Queen to arrive I admit I thought ‘Yawn’. But before I got my hands back on the remote there she appeared in a horse-drawn carriage that was pulling onto the little street that winds through the center of the settlement.

Best of all, it looked like the Brits and the Natives have put their differences behind them and are getting along much better these days.
