As every good Trekkie knows James Doohan, otherwise known as Scotty, last wish was to have his ashes launched into space. Space Services, Inc. is the company that was given the task of beaming up his ashes along with the ashes of 200 others.
Last month the rocket gave her all they got, cap’n but never made it to outer space. The rocket blew off course, made a four-minute sub-orbital flight and parachuted back down to land in the rocket terrain of the San Andres Mountains.
The remains have not yet been recovered because of the remote and hazardous location of the crash. But the company says they will be recovered and properly delivered to their final frontier.
Perhaps they can borrow a flux capacitor from Back to the Future.
Canadian-born Doohan died, aged 85, in 2005. According to Star Trek folklore, Scotty will be born in Linlithgow in 2222 and the town plans to honour its famous future son with a memorial.

Hubby and I love Star Trek. We’ve watched the old TV series, the movies, Next Generation, Voyager, Deep Space 9 (was that related to Star Trek?). It’s hard to believe that so few original episodes were made.
Too bad Scotty!
