I’ve always liked Gary Sinise. Like everyone else, I loved him at ‘Lt. Dan’ in Forrest Gump. I also loved him at ‘East Texas’ in The Stand. But lately the role I’ve particularly liked him in is his role as a celebrity who actually loves his country and supports the troops.
It’s not about politics. It’s about loving your country. Sinise has been quietly serving our country all along through Operation Iraqi Children and his personal work for the troops.
tiara tip to PC Free Zone who is personal friends with Sinise.
The World According to Carl is also posting about Gary Sinise.

I first saw Gary Sinise on television on the mini-series “The Stand” (based on Stephen King’s work) and on film in “Forest Gump” and in both instances I was blown away by his performances. I think he’s doing an awesome job in CSI: New York but I think the writing has been weak on many episodes.
Anyway, I wrote an entry on my blog about him and his support of the troops and going “above and beyond” so to speak in regards to entertainers. You can read it at http://www.anniemayhem.com/cgi-bin/wordpress/?p=489 in case anyone’s interested. {Yes, I admit, it’s a bit of shameless self-promotion on my part — please pardon}
