In the video below, actor Robert Mitchum is responding to a question during an 1966 interview. The news crew asked him, ‘Should we pull out of Vietnam?’. His answer is below.

This response to the question of cutting and running comes from a man of the generation that fought the last war America won. That seems to have been the last generation in this country that had the heart, will, discipline and sense of responsibility to the country to see a fight through. We have not won a war since.

His words resonate in the situation we find ourselves in today. It might do us some good to listen to the words of a generation that were able to defeat an enemy.
