OK, my son is there, too. I haven’t heard anything from him, just what I read: a tank was blown up June 20, his battalion, a major & 3 other guys died.
I really need to hear an assessment from an objective source, maybe the U.N. or the Red Cross/Red Crescent about whether the troops are helping at all & how long they will be of any humanitarian use.
It is time we dropped the facade of promoting America’s interests, and admit we are just trying to defend human rights. Solicit help from ANYWHERE. Psychologically, this would be best for my son &, perhaps, yours.
