Tonight we return to the Celtic music format with a new video of Capercaillie performing The Tree from the Beautiful Wasteland CD. The gist of the song is that the singer’s lover is at sea and will return by Halloween (samhain, pronounced saw’in) if he gets a fair wind.
I hear the voices of my ancestors in this music.

If you ever have the opportunity to go to the IrishFest in Milwaukee (August)…..take it! Biggest in the world and some of the most excellent music you can imagine. But if ya go, make your hotel reservations about 6 months in advance! That’s why we aren’t going this year. >-(
