This is so disappointing. I love Jack Bauer and all I really want from him and all the brave souls and conniving traitors and spies at CTU is to continue saving the world from terrorists and other asundry bad guys.
I don’t watch much TV, but there are a few shows I watch pretty much religiously. One of those is 24. When I do watch TV, I am watching because I want to be entertained. Period. I don’t want subliminal messages or political prostelizing in the plot line. Every time I have ever seen a perfectly good show start trying to work whatever their cause du jour into the plot line it ruins the show. That’s a sure sign of the beginning of the end of the show.
Apparently, the producers of 24 have decided that they will use the show to make people more environmentally aware.
I don’t have anything against them trying to use whatever people think this week are the most environmentally friendly products. I just don’t have a clue as to how they are going to reduce the carbon footprint of nukes.
You can read more about the new mission of 24 here.

I am a regular reader of your article. And I am very impress with your blog upon Global Warming. Now I am also write a blog upon effects and causes of Global Warming. This blog is collection of news & reviews like the study found that global warming since 1985 has been caused neither by an increase in solar radiation nor by a decrease in the flux of galactic cosmic rays. Some researchers had also suggested that the latter might influence global warming because the rays trigger cloud formation.

Perhaps you should have read your source and not just the title. 24 is going green in production NOT plot.
also…
Do you see the contradiction in these two statements?
“I love Jack Bauer and all I really want from him and all the brave souls and conniving traitors and spies at CTU is to continue saving the world from terrorists and other asundry bad guys.”
AND
“When I do watch TV, I am watching because I want to be entertained. Period. I don’t want subliminal messages or political prostelizing in the plot line.”
I’m guessing not. Perhaps this is because of how subliminal the villainizing is. A testament to how insidious the manufactured fear of the Military-Industrial-Media Comlex.
BSC: of for crying out loud. Talk about buying propaganda hook line and sinker. ‘the military industrial media complex’? Please. 99% of the movies/tv shows out there villainize the military. And yes, I read the article and understand the are doing ‘green’ production. I find that ridiculous in light of the fact that the plot lines have a nuke a day at least, generally speaking. The nukes leave quite a carbon footprint, I would imagine. But hey, if it makes them feel better to have a ‘carbon neutral’ set while blowing the world to kingdom come on film - whatever floats their boats.
There is not a contradiction in the two statements you mentioned. I am entertained by good guys going after the bad buys by whatever means necessary. Apparently a lot of people are judging from the popularity of shoot ‘em films.
