I actually have no idea exactly what that means, but it’s pretty cool anyway.
I am on a different computer so I had to google Blue Star Chronicles to get here and one of the results in the google search was the 2007 Kairos Awards. Otherwise I might never have known.
Apparently, a communications class at the University of Pittsburgh analyses blogs and rates them according to a set of criteria. Someone presented Blue Star Chronicles as a nominee for this award.
In ancient Greece, Kairos was a son of Zeus who had a penchant for seizing the day and acting at the most opportune moments. He is visually represented in sculpture as an athletic male with winged shoes, at rest but simultaneously poised to act. The blogs listed above have been selected because like Kairos, they take advantage of the erasure of time and space barriers online to deliver thought- provoking and timely political commentary.
Blue Star Chronicles didn’t win in the end, but it’s pretty cool that I ran across this. Its interesting to read what these students wrote about me and/or Blue Star Chronicles when not expecting me to run across it and read their evaluation.

Wonderful !!! Congratulations
Tre’ cool! Congrats!
