The Washington Post has had a heyday making fun of Fred Thompson’s name.
In the swampy soup of hopefuls for the 2008 presidential election, there is a man with a funny name. (No, not that one.)
We’re thinking of the one named Fred (Thompson).
Say it out loud. Do it. Fred. Fred. In the South, Fray-ud.
Fur-red-duh.
It has the tonal quality of something being dropped on the floor, something heavy and damp-ish.
Waterlogged paper towel.
Fred.
The article notes that there has never been a ‘Fred’ who has run for President. Unless I’m mistaken, I don’t think there’s been a Hillary or Barrack running for President either.
Just stop and think for a minute. What if the Weekly Standard or some other right leaning publication spent an entire editorial article making fun of Barrack Hussein Obama’s name.
The left would be screaming bloody-murder. That’s what.

Beth, thanks for bringing this to our attention. Most of the comments for this WaPo piece of garbage agrees that the article is sufficiently infantile…

Butch, I think infantile is exactly the right word for it. If making fun of his name is the best they can do then they have a real problem on their hands!

Monday Good Stuff…
Occasionally, I like to publish a post featuring articles from some of my favorite bloggers. It’s time for another one……

Let me get this straight; we have a mental midget by the name of Monica suggesting the name Fred is inappropriate for the White House!?
That’s just too funny. In fact, it’s hilarious!
BSC: That’s hilarious!! I didn’t make the connection. I wish I had thought of that! lol

This might not be you cup of tea but it is funnier than the Post piece. You may have to copy and past if you are interested.
