Only Jesus can do that. Whether the Lord has forgiven him or not is between him and the Lord. What's left is between him and the state though. His actions were criminal, and whether his soul has found forgiveness or not, his body deserves incarceration and punishment. "Finding Jesus" isn't a get out of jail free card.
