I post this in honor of my son who is a tanker currently serving in Iraq. As of tomorrow he will be a Captain!! HOOAH!!! I’m so very proud of him and figure I have the right to brag about his promotion just a little 
(even though I was raised that its rude to brag and feel a little funny about it - but heh - he’s why I started this blog).
I told him I hope he doesn’t think this means he doesn’t have to mind me any more. He just typed ‘lol’. The truth is, he hasn’t ‘minded’ me in a long time, but I’m still his mother so we both pretend I’m still the boss of him anyway!!!
Hah! I can identify with the sentiment about you son “minding” you! Mine is technically my boss right now! What a situation!!
Damn , Beth…I kinda get the feeling you’re as proud of your children as I am mine ! Feels great, huh ?
Whenever I question myself, or feel a bit down…I think how lucky I am that my children are all genuinely nice, kind, hard working and decent people…and great parents , too .
But did you ever wonder to yourself if you would survive the teen years ? Whew !
