The ACLU has found a new and obnoxious way to hamstring the United States military. The organization has filed a mountain of paperwork requiring the military to respond with another mountain of paperwork.
Newly released documents regarding crimes committed by U.S. soldiers against civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan detail a pattern of troops failing to understand and follow the rules on interrogations and deadly actions, the American Civil Liberties Union says.
The documents, released today by the ACLU ahead of a lawsuit, total nearly 10,000 pages of courts-martial summaries, transcripts and military investigative reports about 22 incidents. They include examples of soldiers believing they were within the law when they killed citizens.
The documents were obtained through a federal Freedom of Information Act request. The suit seeks to compel the military to produce all documents related to all incidents of civilian deaths at the hands of U.S. troops since January 2005.
William Teach at the Pirate’s Cove points out that they have apparently forgotten that the ‘A’ in ACLU stands for ‘American’.
I find myself wondering how we could have ever won World Wars I or II had this kind of nonsense gone on then. If you look at the ACLU website you see that their motto is ‘Keep America Safe and Free’, yet they seem to be morphing into an organization dedicated to ridding the world of America.
This exercise in legal mumbo-jumbo serves the purpose of tying up bureaucrats till the cows come home in neck deep paperwork, costing untold tax payer dollars in paying for the response to these ridiculous documents, demoralizing our Troops, giving aid and comfort to the enemy in the form of more fodder for propaganda and accusations against us and weakening America because it comes to the point that any Soldier is not only risking being accused of anything if he does his job.
No organization can continue to exist without membership and financial support. That leaves me to wonder why there are 500,000 people willing to associate themselves with an organization who devotes this much effort at undermining the fabric of our nation. I certainly wonder why any Christian or Jew would be a part of an organization that actively works to destroy both of those religions.

I have come to view the ACLU as a communist organization determined to destroy our free democracy through liberal tree hugging, defending the wackos that would gladly destroy us all and pushing the doctrine of “Political Correctness” down our throats! I would love to ship each and every one of them to China and let them see first hand what it is like to live there in their society without the freedoms they work to destory here.
