John McCain is surging in the polls precisely because of his stance on the Global War on Terror. As much as I have disagreed with him on stances he has taken on immigration and torture, I am 100% behind him on his stance on the GWOT.
There is NO viable option but to win this war. All the politics everyone is playing with the war is nothing short of suicidal and genocidal. I believe setting a date for withdrawal is an insane strategy that not only would destabilize the middle east but would put our own national security at enormous risk. THAT would embolden our enemies. Just the democrat’s incessant talk about it has already emboldened our enemies to the point they openly talk about destroying us with no fear of retaliation from us.
McCain is right on this and in my mind this is the defining issue of our generation. The outcome of this war between islamofascists and western civilization is far from certain. We need strength and resolve, not pandering.

What concerns me is the rising level of hatred for our troops; I guess the far left can’t contain themselves any longer. Just look at all the anti-military movies coming out in the near future! The media and the far left are trying to influence American’s against the war and its all so one-sided! How can there be support if the reporting and “entertainment” is biased against the war?

I know Donna!! Its frightening to me how these ‘entertainment’ venues are used for anti-military propaganda. It DOES affect the way people think of them.
What will happen to us when we completely devalue our warriors? Its unconscionable.
