I was reading this article at TimesOnline about plastic surgery. A slim, fit 27-year-old Brit went to three different major plastic surgery companies in the United Kingdom to get a feel for how they operated. She came away from two of those companies feeling like she might just need the surgery even though she says she had never considered plastic surgery and was confident of her appearance.

The third plastic surgery company she went to was different. She met with the plastic surgeon who discussed with her why she thought she needed the surgery, what her expectations were and basically suggested she just work out more. She wrote in the article that she felt almost angry when she left the third plastic surgery company, Make Yourself Amazing, because after visiting the first two she was almost doubting her looks.

After reading the article I went to look at the Make Yourself Amazing website. The website is full of information on every type of plastic and cosmetic surgeries. They seem to take a very level headed approach to why and when women might consider having some form of cosmetic surgery done. I like that approach because my personal feelings are that people get too much plastic surgery for all the wrong reasons. I don’t see a thing in the world wrong with getting a nip and a tuck here and there, but we all know there are people who take it way too far and end up looking like mummified versions of themselves. It is refreshing to read the website of a major cosmetic surgery company that seems to take the same approach.

For example, if you are thinking of having breast enlargement surgery, you can go to their website and read about how the procedure is done, what kinds of recovery period you can expect and more. They also discuss the reasons women might choose to have breast enlargement. Personally, I have seen situations in which breast enlargement made sense, but I see too many women who seem to have unrealistic expectations and unrealistic results! I did appreciate the fact that Make Yourself Amazing does seem to take that into account with their more commonsensical approach to their services. That’s probably why they are such a popular company in the United Kingdom!
