Soldier bloggers get in the main stream news.
We have unprecedented access to the troops deployed in the Global War on Terrorism. With access to blogs, YouTube, MySpace and other forums of online communication, our Troops are able to give us an up close and personal view of what they are dealing with on a daily basis.
This is both good and bad. As the mother of a deployed Soldier I find it invaluable that I am able to communicated with my son periodically online. However, all too often, these videos and messages are misinterpreted by those who choose to misconstrue their words rather than understanding that this is what war is and always has been. Its just that we see it from the comfort of our living rooms now.

I think it’s great that the experiences of military members are becoming accessible to all and being featured in the media. It makes me wonder if this trend wasn’t occurring, would support for the Bush administration be as low as it is?
