Is there any way for a celebrity to be held accountable for murder in Los Angeles?
When I first heard that Phil Spector’s high-priced dream-team attorneys were using a defense that Lana Clarkson had come to his house the first time she met him and committed suicide in the foyer I was completely taken aback. I thought how could such expensive attorneys not come up with something better than that. Its so implausible.
Here’s the story …..
Here is a video I have seen numerous times on Court TV. Apparently, Spector was trying to get himself a reality TV show prior to sticking the gun in Lana Clarkson’s mouth.
I’m sure Spector is glad to get out of the more subdued wigs and suits he had to wear to coat. I imagine he’ll be back in his heels, wigs and make-up before long - if not already. Hopefully, he will be more careful about waving his guns around and maybe even stop his habit of sticking guns in women’s mouths when they try to leave his house.
I thought the prosecutor was very sharp and did a great job. He probably over charged the case. I understand he’s going to re-try it. Hopefully, justice will be done at the next trial.
It would be nice if we had some level of accountability in this country.
