I’ve been meaning to add the DoFollow WordPress plugin to my blog for a while now. I kept forgetting about it or just being too lazy to do it. The other day an email from Raven at And Rightly So motivated me to finally go ahead and do it.

So what is the point of adding this to a blog? It removes the “rel=nofollow” from the URL in your name in the comments you leave. With that removed then Google can read your URL when Google’s robots do their thing on my blog. By leaving a comment with your URL then Google will read your URL on my blog when it spiders my blog which will contribute to improving your ranking with Google.

Beth at My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy explains it much better than I do. Go there to read more and to And Rightly So for an even more in depth explanation of how it works and why you should use it as well.

To install it on WordPress get the DoFollow WordPress plugin. For Blogger go here and for Moveable Type go here.

So …. comment and BSC will follow and we’ll all have improvements in our Google rankings. When you install and activate the plug-in you should immediately see an improvement in your blog traffic.

Happy Blogging!
